Education
Story Moves projects take place in Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Special Educational Needs Schools as well as specialised educational and ‘out of term’ settings.
Projects are tailor-made for each unique group of students, in collaboration with relevant members of staff. Creative work is focused around themes relevant to the curriculum and personal and social development of the students.
Story Moves possibilities include:
- Physical theatre, devising and ensemble work to enhance Drama and Performing Arts curriculums in any setting.
- An effective and creative approach to the Social and Emotional Aspects to Learning (SEAL), PSHE and Citizenship.
- A highly creative approach to curriculum areas such as Humanities, Literacy Speaking and Listening….. and French !
- Small group work to support confidence building, self esteem, communication and positive relating.
Some examples of previous projects are:
- Movement and music to explore communication and emotional awareness with Special Needs nursery and primary students.
- Building confidence, communication and positive relationships through drama, movement and shadow puppetry for Primary students.
- Exploring effective learning through movement, physical theatre and mask with secondary mainstream students.
